BOX program
Annotation:Encourage kids to draw themselves or enclose a photo for present to deliver to family or friend. Tie off with inexpensive sparkly ribbon.
Annotation:Read this book first-kids love to shout out the rabbit's idea of what a box really is -car, mountain, spaceship etc.
Place a Hold
Annotation:Read this book second--it is a lead in to the craft activity and helps to reinforce concepts in/out, left/right etc. Pop-up ending is a hit. Use a mirror to let kids think about drawing a picture of themselves to send to grandparents or give to someone special.
Annotation:Read after craft as time allows.
