A very good story of the EAGLE landing on the moon and man's first footstep on the surface of the moon . Young Mae's 8 year old experience with that great accomplishment . Enjoyable and very good story.

While not promoted as a biography - Aston and Pinkney's recollection of the first moon landing in 1969 could very well be a recollection of Mae Jemison - the first African-American woman accepted into the NASA astronaut program. The experience recounted echoes my own family experience on that amazing night so many years ago.
